Blog 4- Zoom

Image
My 4th technology I will be talking about comes from the top 15 software mentioned by elementary versus secondary school teachers on Dr. Wang’s ppt. I will be talking about zoom! Zoom is a platform where teachers and students can have classes online. This is particularly helpful during the time we living in today! If a student is sick or school is canceled, zoom allows students to still get instruction! Zoom can also be used as a virtual meeting room. If students or parents have questions about classes or anything, we can meet online instead of in person! Zoom has a lot of cool features for the moderator! You can control who enters the meetings, share your screen with the attendees, invite and remove people from meetings, and thee students can even virtually ‘raise their hands’ to get the teachers attention! Zoom continues to update and come out with more features! I think zoom is incredibly easy to use from a teacher and student standpoint. I can definitely see myself using this in m

Blog 3- google slides

My 3rd technology I chose comes from RQ2 PPT in the Microsoft versus Google slide. I am going to talk about Google slides. Google slides is a presentation sharing platform that allows teachers to create slideshows to present information or even review previously learned information. Google Slides can help captivate the attention of the audience by the various themes, fonts and animations. This can make information sharing a little more fun to the students! In google slides, you can input pictures, videos, and even links to other websites. You can also have your students create their own slideshows for presentations or even in group projects. Students can even work on a slideshow together at the same time from wherever they are at! Here is the link to google slides :  https://www.google.com/slides/about/  This platform is easy to use and free! I think this is going to be a very useful tool when teaching children! I would connect this to the seven events framework with presenting the co

Blog 2- Computers

Image
My second technology I am going to talk about is going to be the computers or laptops from RQ2 Hardware. Most classrooms now have at least a few computers and laptops for students to utilize when doing supplementary work! Students can use their computers for educational games, communication with their peers and teachers, researching, and even writing. Computers have endless uses and can be a great tool in the educational world. I think that computers are becoming more an more accessible and easy to use as technology becomes better and better. As a future educator, I honestly think using computers or laptops is inevitable, but for a good reason! I would connect this to the seven event framework as gaining attention or information processing.

Blog 1- Flipgrid

Image
My first blog is about flip-grid from Dr.Wang’s ppt RQ2. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with this tool! This is a great tool for teachers to check the understanding of their students in a safe and private way! Flip grid is designed with individual classrooms that only students with the invite code or link can view. This way, when students share videos of themselves discussing  the things that they learned in class, the videos stay within the classroom and no one else can see them. This can allow the children to stay safe online whilst still creating a community outside of class with their peers. Flip grid allows students to respond to prompts organized by the teacher with videos! The students will be able to see the instructor’s  videos as well ass their peers. They can interact and comment on each other’s videos as well. This tool is easy to use and set up from an educator standpoint, but also very easy to navigate as a student. In order to connect this tool with the framework, I would
