Blog 6- Remind
The Next technology I am going to talk about is Remind. This app was found in Dr. Wang's PPT. Remind is an app that allows teachers to communicate with students and parents easily. With Remind, teachers can send messages, announcements, and homework assignments directly to students' and parents' phones. This makes it easy for everyone to stay informed and up-to-date on what's happening in the classroom. Remind also allows teachers to schedule messages in advance, so they can plan out their communications ahead of time. The app is free to use and can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices making it easy to use. Overall, Remind is a great tool for teachers who want to stay connected with their students and parents in a quick and efficient way. I can definitely see myself using this in the future to communicate with my students and families. I think this can connect back to the TLC framework for the communication stage. I think creating an open dialogue can help students feel more connected to their educators. In turn, this promotes teaching.

Hi Maddi!
ReplyDeleteI have used remind in high school a lot! I think this can be such a useful tool as a teacher to help remind students or teachers.
Hi Maddi,
ReplyDeleteRemind sounds like a useful app for staying in communication with students and families. I think this is something that I would be likely to use as a teacher. Good post!
Hi Maddi! Remind sounds like a great app to use. I could really see this being useful in this day in age with emergencies, and just simply efficiency when trying to send home announcements. I know my mentor has fun announcements for events or themed days he sends home. But majority of the time, my students come to school the next day, with the paper still in their backpack. I think this way, we don't have to rely on young ones, being the messenger. We can simply do it ourselves.
